Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a technique that uses small injections over the affected area, beginning with the surface epidermal layer and gradually progressing to the deeper dermal layer of the skin. 

Dr. Chantelle uses Filorga NCTF® 135 HA which contains:

  • 14 vitamins stimulate the essential functions of cells
  • 24 amino acids stimulate the construction of elastin & collagen
  • 6 coenzymes catalyse the biochemical reactions of tissues
  • 5 nucleic bases activate cell communication
  • 4 minerals overcome skin deficiencies

Filorga’s NCTF® 135 HA  is the only anti-aging product known to treat all the causes and effects of aging.

The frequency and number of treatment sessions vary depending on the extent of aging and skin damage. One treatment per month over five months is recommended to be expected, followed by one treatment session every three months.

Filorga NCTF ® 135/ NCTF ® 135 HA are indicated to be injected in the epidermis or dermis in the following areas :

  • Face (including periorbital area)
  • Neck
  • Décolleté area
  • Back of the hands
  • Internal areas of the arms.

LipoSculpture

A procedure that treats unwanted fat on the body that is usually genetic and difficult to remove with exercising and dieting such as:

  • Tummy rolls
  • Love Handles
  • Saddle bags
  • Inner thighs
  • Double Chin
  • Bra handles

The LipoSculpting procedure involves injections of fat dissolving and fat cell-destroying substances into the areas chosen for treatment.

The injection involves many little needles and the exact area is marked out and injected. The substance is injected directly into the fat cell layer where it is needed, and destroying the fat cell layers from the skin downwards.

Therefore it is necessary to repeat the process a few times to reach all the fat layers and to see results.

One area is normally 8cm by 10 cm. When working the areas out, the rule is:

”if you can grab it you can inject it!“

It is better to focus on one area and do enough injections on that area rather than do bits and pieces allover, you can always do the other areas later.

For the best results you should be within 3-5kg of goal weight.

biopuncture

The name Biopuncture originated from combining the word biotherapeutics (bio) with acupuncture (puncture). Biopuncture is the injection of biological products (naturopathic and homeopathic products) into specific areas.

Biopuncture is a therapy using mostly plant-based ultra-low dilution product formulas which are injected into specific body regions to relieve pain and inflammation. The majority of injections are micro-injections with a very small needle just under the skin or into the muscle. One of the benefits of directly injecting the area of pain is a much faster healing response.

In Biopuncture, small doses of products are injected in order to stimulate or “wake up” the natural healing processes. The healing effect comes from “inside” your body – not from the products themselves. It’s the reaction of your immune system, which will produce the proper reactions to regain natural healing.

Biopuncture is a safe and efficient technique in complementary medicine.  Best results occur when the patient can combine Biopuncture with other treatments, which improves their body’s ability to heal and lessen tissue inflammation.

Botox®

Botox® injections is a toxin that temporarily prvents a muscle from moving.  It blocks certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cayse muscles to contract. The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes.  Botox® injections are relatively safe when performed by an experienced doctor.

The results are visible within 10-14 days and the results can last up to three months or longer.  To maintain the effect, you’ll need follow-up injections.

HYALURONIC FILLERS

Dermal fillers are injections that plump up wrinkles and smooth lines on your face and body. It is used to replace volume due to aging. It us used to enhance facial features or gain a more youthful appearance. It is a relatively safe procedure when performed by an experienced doctor. There are several kinds of dermal fillers. Dr. Chantelle wull discuss your options with you.

As you age, your body starts to lose collagen. Decreased amounts of collagen in your skin laxity and loss of volume.

Hyaluronic Fillers are used to: 

  • Add volume to sagging skin
  • Make your facial features more symmetrical
  • Plump up lips and cheeks
  • Smooth wrinkles and creases in your face

The results are immediate and can last 6 – 24 months

Hyaluronic acid Filler is a smooth injectable gel, that gets injected under the skin to instantly smooth out those wrinkles or folds.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural complex sugar found in all living cells, and one major component of the dermis connective tissue matrix, along with collagen and elastin.

Hyaluronic acid is responsible for maintaining water in the skin and hydrates the skin and therefore adds volume to the skin.

CHEMICAL Peels

SALICYLIC ACID peels for oily and acne prone skin.

The medium depth peel  available at SlenderMed is the SKINTECH Easy TCA peel.

With all peels, the new skin is temporarily more sensitive to the sun.  It is recommended to use extra protection against the sun after the procedure.  It is imperative to wear sunscreen on a daily basis to maintain the results of your treatment.

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results.

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure. Depending on the issues you’re addressing with the procedure, you’ll choose a chemical peel in one of three depths:

Light chemical peel. 

A light (superficial) chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It’s used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. You might have a light peel every two to five weeks.

Medium chemical peel.

 A medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis). It’s used to treat wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone. You might need to repeat the procedure to achieve or maintain the desired result.

Deep chemical peel. 

A deep chemical peel removes skin cells even deeper. Your doctor might recommend one for deeper wrinkles, scars or precancerous growths. You won’t need repeat procedures to get the full effect.

Micro-needling

Micro-needling is a cosmetic procedure that is used to encourage collagen production using small, sterilized needles. 

It is said to rejuvenate and plump the skin with minimal discomfort and very little downtime, and it can be adjusted to fit each person’s needs.  Micro-needling may also be combined with topical serums to achieve different results.

Benefits of micro-needling can include:

To maintain the results of your treatment, you’ll need multiple sessions and perhaps other complementing treatments.  Dr. Chantelle combines micro-needling with different serums depending on your specific needs and she will work with you to develop a plan of action based on your individual goals.

Threads

Thread lifts have two goals for treatment; the first is to physically lift and tighten skin, and the second is to encourage the body’s own healing to prolong results. Thread lifts done with polydioxanone (PDO) accomplish this by first pulling the skin into higher, more taut positions.

Once in place, the DPO thread then has chemical reactions within the sub-dermal tissues of your skin to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Over time, the threads are fully absorbed into the body.

 

Hair Rejuvenation

Losing hair can be stressful and often affects a person’s confidence.  There are many causes and dr. Chantelle will discuss the different factors and possible treatments with you during your initial consultation.  If there are underlying medical conditions, this need to be addressed as well in order to improve and maintain your results 

Many different treatments and topical products are out there with promising results – of which, some are more effective.  

Minoxidil 

Minoxidil applied to the scalp is used to stimulate hair growth in adult men and women with a certain type of baldness. The exact way that this medicine works is not known.

If hair growth is going to occur with the use of minoxidil, it usually occurs after the medicine has been used for several months and lasts only as long as the medicine continues to be used. Hair loss will begin again within a few months after Minoxidil treatment is stopped.

Sclerotherapy
